Types of Flanges

Weld Neck Flange (WNRF)

A Weld Neck Flange (WNRF) is designed with a long tapered hub that provides reinforcement, making it ideal for high-pressure and high-temperature applications. The smooth transition from the flange to the pipe ensures reduced stress concentration and better flow efficiency. These flanges are commonly used in industries such as oil & gas, chemical processing, and power plants.

Weld Neck Flange

Slip-On Flange (SORF)

A Slip-On Flange (SORF) is designed to slide over the pipe and then be welded on both the inside and outside for a secure connection. It is cost-effective, easy to install, and widely used in low-pressure applications where leakage prevention is not the primary concern. These flanges are commonly used in water supply systems, gas pipelines, and structural applications.

Slip-On Flange

Threaded Flange (THRF)

A Threaded Flange (THRF) is designed with internal threads that allow it to be screwed onto a pipe without the need for welding. It is widely used in low-pressure applications and where welding is not feasible due to explosive or hazardous environments. These flanges are commonly used in small-diameter piping systems, fuel lines, and water distribution networks.

Threaded Flange

Socket Weld Flange (SWRF)

A Socket Weld Flange (SWRF) is designed for small-diameter, high-pressure piping systems. It features a socket in which the pipe is inserted and fillet-welded around the outside for secure attachment. These flanges are commonly used in chemical processing, high-pressure steam lines, and hydraulic systems due to their strong and leak-proof connection.

Socket Weld Flange

Lap Joint Flange (LJRF)

A Lap Joint Flange (LJRF) is a two-piece flange assembly consisting of a stub end and a backing flange. It is commonly used in systems requiring frequent dismantling for inspection and maintenance. These flanges allow easy alignment and rotation, making them ideal for low-pressure, non-critical applications such as water pipelines, chemical processing, and shipbuilding.

Lap Joint Flange

Blind Flange (BLRF)

A Blind Flange (BLRF) is a solid disk used to close the end of a piping system. It provides a positive seal for systems or vessels under high pressure. These flanges allow easy access to the pipeline for inspection, modification, or expansion without permanent welding. Commonly used in oil & gas, petrochemical, water treatment, and power generation industries.

Blind Flange

Long Welding Neck Flange (LWNRF)

A Long Welding Neck Flange (LWNRF) is a specialized flange for high-pressure and high-temperature applications. Unlike standard neck flanges, the extended neck of LWNRF makes it ideal for use in pressure vessels and critical piping systems. It helps in reducing stress concentration and ensures a smooth transition of fluid flow. Widely used in oil & gas, power plants, marine, and petrochemical industries.

Long Welding Neck Flange

Orifice Flange

An Orifice Flange is designed specifically to measure fluid flow within pipelines. It features tapped holes to mount orifice plates and allows accurate flow rate measurement of liquids and gases. Used along with pressure taps to monitor differential pressure, these flanges are essential in industries requiring precise control like oil & gas, chemical processing, and power generation.

Orifice Flange

Spectacle Blind Flange

A Spectacle Blind Flange is a safety device used to completely isolate or partially restrict flow in a pipeline. It consists of a solid plate and an open ring (spacer) connected by a metal strip, allowing operators to switch between open and closed positions without removing the flange. These flanges are commonly used in high-pressure systems for maintenance, inspection, and emergency shutdowns in industries such as oil & gas, petrochemical, and power plants.

Spectacle Blind Flange

Ring Joint Flange (RTJ Flange)

A Ring Joint Flange (RTJ Flange) is designed for high-pressure and high-temperature applications, ensuring a leak-proof metal-to-metal seal. It features a precision-machined groove in the flange face where a metal ring gasket is inserted to create a tight seal when bolted together. This type of flange is commonly used in critical industries such as oil & gas, petrochemical, and power plants where reliable sealing under extreme conditions is required.
